Red Bull KTM enters the 2024 Supercross/Pro Motocross/SuperMotocross Championship season with a four-racer effort and the latest iteration of the SX-F motorcycles, a talent and equipment combination that makes the orange team’s expectations for success very clear.

Roger DeCoster and Ian Harrison will continue to oversee the racing operation, which now has former mechanics Carlos Rivera and Frank Latham in technical roles.

As mentioned in the Kickstart Podcast, Red Bull KTM is making a considerable effort to address handling issues that its riders were vocal about in 2023. The all-new chassis of the Factory Edition motorcycles is the most significant and noticeable action, but things like WP’s smaller 48mm forks and the standard 2024 frame are other options that are being offered to riders.

4. Chase Sexton | Mechanic – Brandon Zimmerman

Sexton’s switch almost overshadows his status as the defending 450 SX champion. The rider has been open about the how and why of his move to the Austrian OEM, including a desire to work with like-minded people, the characteristics of the motorcycle, and the need for changes in certain areas of his program. But this isn’t a complete overhaul for the new number four; Sexton brought mechanic Brandon Zimmerman along and will continue to work with trainer Peter Park and practice at the Moto Sandbox.

He will wear Alpinestars gear, helmets, and boots, with Oakley goggles.

7. Aaron Plessinger | Mechanic – Jade Dungey

A one-year contract extension means things will be the same for Plessinger in 2024 since the deal keeps him with mechanic Jade Dungey and extends his time with Aldon Baker’s program in central Florida.

Although there were rumors of significant apparel changes, Plessinger re-upped with THOR MX for pants-jerseys-gloves and Alpinestars for helmets-boots but switched to Oakley goggles.

16. Tom Vialle | Mechanic – Richard Sterling

Aside from a new number, don’t expect much change for Tom Vialle anytime soon, as the agreement with KTM that brought the two-time MX2 world champion to the United runs through 2025. The family’s history with the KTM Group earned the rider a rare exemption from the Baker’s Factory program, and he will ride with Sexton at the Moto Sandbox instead. Mechanic Richard Sterling will continue to maintain the motorcycle.

Vialle will be outfitted in THOR MX gear, Alpinestars boots, Airoh helmets, and 100% goggles.

929. Julien Beaumer | Mechanic – Austin Watterson

The unexpected teenage prodigy will advance to the professional ranks in 2024 through a multi-year contract with the factory team in the 250 Class. Davi Millsaps will retain his role as advisor and trainer, keeping Beaumer on the West Coast, and mechanic Austin Watterson will look after the motorcycle.

The rookie will wear gear from O’Neal, boots from Alpinestars, helmets from Arai, and goggles from SCOTT.
