Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing will take on the 2024 Supercross/Pro Motocross/SuperMotocross Championship season with a five-racer effort and a fleet of all-new FC motorcycles.
Rockstar Energy has signed an extension with Husqvarna to continue the title sponsorship of the US race team, a decade-long relationship between subsidiaries of PepsiCo and Pierer Mobility Group that is reflected in the “Rockstar Edition” production dirt bikes.
There’s been a significant change in sponsorship for the 250 division: FLY Racing and Gaerne will continue to outfit Hampshire-Farres-Cochran, but the team did not take on a goggle sponsor and allowed the riders to pursue personal deals.
Nathan Ramsey continues as Team Manager, Sean Murphy as Team Coordinator, Tony Hall as Crew Chief, and Chris Loredo as Lead Technician.
Like KTM, Husqvarna is also making a considerable effort to address complaints about the handling traits of recent motorcycles. The updated chassis of the Rockstar Edition is the most significant and noticeable action, but things like WP’s 48mm forks, assorted engine mounts, and the standard 2024 frame are among the options being offered to riders.
27. Malcolm Stewart | Mechanic – Tyler Thomas
Despite missing almost all of 2023 with a significant knee injury, Stewart’s future is set through a new two-year agreement. He will continue the Baker’s Factory training program and stay in SEVEN MX gear, SCOTT Sports goggles, and Shoei helmets; the only change is switching to SiDi boots.
28. Christian Craig | Mechanic – Jared Warrick
As explained in a recent interview, Craig is in the final year of his current contract with Husqvarna and is racing to re-up for 2025 and beyond. He’ll be clad in Fox Racing apparel from head to toe and following the Baker’s Factory routine.
24. RJ Hampshire | Mechanic – Anthony Amos
A contract extension will keep Hampshire on a Husqvarna in the 250 Class for another two years and at the Baker’s Factory. He is one of many riders that have switched to Oakley goggles for 2024.
83. Guillem Farres | Mechanic – Logan George
Impressive results in limited starts put the Spanish rider on Husqvarna’s radar and he’s signed a one-year deal to race 250 East SX, 250 MX, and 250 MX. This will be his first full year in the US. Goggles from 100% will complete his gear bag.
166. Casey Cochran | Mechanic – Garrett Airhart
Cochran is another product of Husqvarna’s amateur to pro program, including a space at the Baker’s Factory, and he’ll make his true debut in 2024. There are a few things to work through, like racing in the Supercross Futures division to earn points for his Supercross Pro License, and he will miss multiple rounds of the 250 East Coast region as a result. He will wear Oakley goggles.
